My dream house is, in construction terms, a "prefabricated" house. Sounds like a trailer-home, but really they are super-constructions, built in pieces in a factory and put together on your site. Last weekend we went to a pre-fab builders showcase (a fake neighborhood with homes built by various builders, completely fitted out and each containing a builders office). It was dreamy! Every house had huge windows, sliding glass doors that were 8 feet tall by 10 feet wide, open floor plans, beautiful finishes ...
So, here are some photos of my dream houses ... (these are from a German company called Huf Haus. Their website is http://www.huf-haus.com/en/home.html if you're architecture buffs or would just like to see more of their work.)
(PS Don't think about, "How would you clean all those windows?" Don't think about "How would you heat/cool that?" Don't think, "The neighbors would certainly get a show." Just think about being in these houses in a beautiful setting, a perfect Spring day or a nice rain storm ...)
Okay, now proceed. (and don' forget you can click on the photos to make them a little larger.)

This is a smaller house, 2-bedroom, 1 bath. A nice started home ...

Here we have a bigger one (we need 3 bedrooms, a guest room and an office, a couple of large bathrooms, ...)

I love the atrium feel in the center of this one ...
the next 2 are baths from a couple of the show houses we toured. Several of the homes had saunas, but the first one here had one built into the bath with a spa loft above it. Sweet. The bottom one was my favorite. There were larger baths, but I really loved it. We had more photos of our tour, but they didn't capture the open-ness I love so much.
