I thought I'd show you a few things about our house. We do love it. It is roomy and bright. But there are a few German things about it.
This is the front yard, so to speak. As you can see the drive is pretty narrow. The street drops pretty steeply just to the right of the photo. The garage is just on the other side of the van. It's narrow too, and makes me a little nervous backing out. The BMW is in there. So, as you can see, the kids spill right out of the back seat into the front door of the house. The large shrub is actually in the neighbors yard. There's a fence between it and the van.
This is our back yard. Obviously these photos were taken during the summer (as we have snow now.) This was during Mom's visit and she and the kids had moved the chairs from the back patio into the shade. The yard officially ends just behind them, but it's a lovely view across that hill. Those shrubs just behind them were literally less than 2 feet tall when we moved in, but when late Spring hit, I was constantly trimming them (And losing that battle). In late Sept the landlord sent a guy out and he chopped them back to 2 feet.
